This recipe for golden wassail is just another one of my grandmothers’ older recipes that we intend to add to our holiday drink list. It has the same spice flavor of wassail but isn’t quit as sweet. The bonus is that this too will leave your home smelling just like Christmas. It’s made for slow evenings, shared mugs, and gathering close with family while the Christmas season gently unfolds. It comes together easy, with just a few simple ingredients.

Golden wassail is a gentle, kid-friendly holiday drink that feels perfect simmering on the stove while life slows down a little. It’s not overly sweet, letting the natural flavors of apple cider, pineapple juice, and the nectar shine through, all warmed with seasonal spices that make the whole house smell like Christmas. This is the kind of drink meant for refilling mugs, great conversations, and cozy evenings together that can last well into the new year. You might also enjoy Christmas Tea, Easy Eggnog, or a chilly glass of Christmas Punch. You can also create an adult version by adding your favorite, brandy of white rum.
