Pork Chop Bake
This is Pork Chop Bake is a recipe that can be used for any weeknight dinner. This pork chop bake only takes a few minutes to prepare and uses some very simple ingredients. You can make it to serve just a few, or you can beef it up to feed and entire family.
Ingredients
4-6 pork Chops
3 medium potatoes sliced thin. Peeled or unpeeled, your choice.
2 8 oz. cans sliced mushrooms, drained. (Or for a creamier sauce you can substitute 1 10.5 oz. can of cream of mushroom in place of one of the sliced mushrooms).
1 packet Lipton Onion Soup mix.
1 Cup Water
2-3 tablespoons olive oil.
Salt and Pepper taste.
Pork Chop Bake
Ingredients
- 4-6 Pork Chops about ½ inch thick,
- 3 potatoes sliced thin peeled or unpeeled.
- 1 pkt Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- 2 oz. cans sliced mushrooms, drained.
- 1 Cup Water
- 2-3 tbsp olive oil.
- Salt and Pepper to taste.
Instructions
- Thinly slice the potatoes and then arrange them in the bottom of a greased 9×13 baking dish.
- Next pour over the 2 cans of sliced mushrooms. If you would rather have a creamier sauce, you can switch out 1 can of the mushrooms for a can of cream of mushroom.
- In a small bowl mix 1 cup water with 1 packet of the Lipton Onion Soup mix, and set aside.
- In a medium skillet over medium heat sear each of the pork chops for a few minutes on either side in a few tablespoons' olive oil.
- Once brown and seared on both sides lay each of the pork chops on top of the thinly sliced potatoes.
- Then pour over the onion soup mixture followed by the can of Cream of Mushroom, if you choose to use it.
- Cover and place in a 400 °F for 30 minutes, and then uncovered for another 30.

Cover and place in a 400-degree oven for 30 minutes, and then uncovered for another 30.
If the pork chops are a little thicker, then leave them in for a little longer or until they temp.
This is a simple recipe for any weeknight dinner and can be made for just a few people or any larger group. This was easy for us to pull together on weeknight, make extra pork chops, and then have leftovers for another night.
If you are not able to use pork chops, 3-6 thinly sliced chicken breasts would work fine.
