Chili Beef Bake
This chili beef bake recipe is great right out of the oven, and can certainty top with sour cream, salsa, shredded lettuce or even more shredded cheese. This recipe is so much more than just a simple Frito pie. It’s filling, and all of the ingredients working together makes for a simple weeknight meal that the entire family can enjoy. There are numerous other options and spices that you can add to make it you own. It goes great with Spanish rice, or even cornbread. The mixture can easily be specifically made ahead of time and can be layered and assembled later in the week to make it an even quicker dinner.
Ingredients for Chili Beef Bake
1½ lbs. Ground Beef
One Medium White Onion chopped.
1 Green Pepper diced.
1 tbsp Salt or to your taste.
4 tbsp Flour
4 tbsp Chili Powder or to your taste.
8 oz. can Tomato Sauce
15 oz. can Chili Beans undrained.
1 small can Sliced Black Olives drained.
1 cup Milk or evaporated milk.
9oz. or so bag Corn Chips
2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese or cheese of your choice.
1 diced Jalapeno optional

Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat brown the ground beef, diced onion, and diced green pepper.
Drain off the grease.
Stir in the salt, flour, chili powder, tomato sauce, chili beans, olives, and milk.
Bring the mixture to a low simmer.
Next pour about half bag corn chips into a greased 9 X 13 baking dish.
Pour the mixture in the skillet over the corn chips. You can add extra cheese on the mixture if you like.
Pour the last half bag of corn chips on top of the mixture.
Top with Shredded Cheese.
Place in a 350 °F

- 1 Large Skillet Makle sure the skillet you have a big enough for all of the ingredients.
- 1 9 X 13 Baking Dish
