Spicy Spinach Bacon Dip
This Spicy Spinach Bacon Dip is a really quick dip idea that we came up with on a whim one Sunday afternoon. It has a few simple ingredients with lots of flavor, especially if you are wanting something more on the spicy end. We are big fans of any kind of dip, especially during football season.
Ingredients
2 cups sour cream
1 small bag frozen spinach (thawed and drained)
One small can green chilies
8oz. shredded pepper jack cheese
One package dry ranch mix
1/2 cup bacon pieces
Dip Instructions
Mix together in a large bowl and chill for a few hours or overnight. Overnight is best; it gives everything a chance to come together.
Dip Tips
- It’s pretty essential that all of the water is removed from the spinach. The best way that we do this is to use a small cheese cloth. Ring out as much of the water as you can and add it to the dip.
- Another option we have used previously use is fresh spinach, which creates a different texture but still tastes great!
- You can cook and dice a few bacon slices rather that use bacon pieces.
- Work with the heat. With the ingredients we shared it makes a more of a mild spice sip. Add some diced jalapenos, red pepper flakes, or any other pepper that has some spice to it.

You can also try a crostini.
