Equipment

  • 1 9X13 Dish You can make this in a trifle dish, but you may need to scale back the ingredients depending on the size of the trifle bowl.

Ingredients

  • 2 Bags Shredded lettuce, or 2 heads of lettuce sliced thin. Either works great.
  • ½ Cup Celery sliced thin
  • 1 Chopped green pepper.
  • ½ Purple onion sliced
  • 1 Small bag Frozen peas (thawed)
  • ½ Cup Mayonnaise
  • Cup Sour Cream
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 8 oz Shredded Cheese
  • 6 slices Cooked chopped bacon, or about 1/2 cup real bacon pieces if that works better.
  • 2 tbsp Minced garlic
  • 1 pkg Ranch seasoning Or you can use about 1/4 cup liquid ranch.

Instructions

  • Layer the bottom of the baking dish with the shredded lettuce.
  • Next sprinkle the celery, green pepper, onion and peas.

Instructions for the dressing

  • Mix the mayonnaise, sour cream, ranch seasoning, sugar, and garlic.
  • Spoon the dressing mixture on next.
  • Sprinkle the top with cheese and bacon.
  • Chill in the fridge for a few hours.

Notes

There really is no set way to layer.  You are free to layer the ingredients in any order that you wish.  We often do it different every time, however it is best to put the lettuce down first.
