Layers of crisp lettuce, bacon, peas, and a creamy garlic ranch dressing come together in this easy, crowd-pleasing salad. Light enough for hot summer days and always welcome at BBQs and family meals.
1 9X13 Dish You can make this in a trifle dish, but you may need to scale back the ingredients depending on the size of the trifle bowl.
Ingredients
2BagsShredded lettuce, or 2 heads of lettuce sliced thin. Either works great.
½CupCelery sliced thin
1Chopped green pepper.
½Purple onion sliced
1Small bag Frozen peas (thawed)
½CupMayonnaise
1½CupSour Cream
2tbspSugar
8ozShredded Cheese
6slicesCooked chopped bacon,or about 1/2 cup real bacon pieces if that works better.
2tbspMinced garlic
1pkgRanch seasoningOr you can use about 1/4 cup liquid ranch.
Instructions
Layer the bottom of the baking dish with the shredded lettuce.
Next sprinkle the celery, green pepper, onion and peas.
Instructions for the dressing
Mix the mayonnaise, sour cream, ranch seasoning, sugar, and garlic.
Spoon the dressing mixture on next.
Sprinkle the top with cheese and bacon.
Chill in the fridge for a few hours.

There really is no set way to layer. You are free to layer the ingredients in any order that you wish. We often do it different every time, however it is best to put the lettuce down first.
