Equipment

  • 1 Flour Sifter
  • 1 9x9 Can Pan You can use a 9x13, but we prefer a thicker and taller cake, so we opt to use the small cake pan.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • ¼ Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ Cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ Cup Chopped nut of your choice.

Instructions

Sift Together

  • Flour, Sugar, Salt, Baking Powder
  • Next add the Fruit cocktail, eggs, and vanilla, and mix well.
  • Pour the batter into a greased 9x9 baking pan, and sprinkle the top with the brown sugar, and the chopped nuts.
  • Bake at 350 °F for 40-45 minutes.
