In a small skillet sauté the pecans and the butter and set aside.
In a large bowl, or you can use a stand mixer, combine remaining ingredients and mix well. Make sure not to over mix.
Last, fold in the toasted pecans and the butter, and thoroughly combine. Let it set chill for a few hours or overnight before serving.
*Optional - You can mix in the green onions, or you can slice them and sprinkle over the top. We opted to sprinkle them on top.
